Tranny Temp Gauge

I am looking to install a transmission temp gauge in a couple weeks and was wondering where the best location is... Should I place it inline with the hose that runs to the radiator? Or is there a more suitable location. FYI I will be doing the aftermarket tranny cooler mod in the near futhur. Pics help. Thanks.

Are you going to install an electric or mechanical gauge? If a mechanical one the line from the gauge to the sending unit is not very long so your options are limited. I like the mechanical ones better though because you can get a full sweep gauge pretty cheap compared to an electric.

Here's my write up on a mechanical gauge install. You may not like where I placed the gauge itself but it works for me and the rest of the writeup should be useful for you if you decide to go mechanical.

Thanks for the info. I searched up couldn't find that write-up. I will probably go with an eletrical gauge just for the mounting location.
