trans cooler questions

Hi,

I am about to tackle installing a trans cooler but now have more questions than answers.

I was about to order a TRD one from TRDparts4u, but Jacque says that it is discontinued. What I liked about that was that it came with brackets. So....what has everyone done for brackets for other coolers?

Also, along with that, when you remove the lines from the radiator, how do you cap those holes? Or, is it just better to buy a new radiator?

Thanks for the help.

Bypass the OE tranny cooler? - YotaTech Forums

Personally, I just ran a piece of cooler line between the inlet and outlet of the OE cooler on the radiator.

I also mounted my cooler against the radiator, behind the A/C condenser. I used the plastic zip tie style mounts that came with my cooler.

I guess thats more of my question for mounting. I know most will come with zip tie like hangers. Is that enough? I liked the TRD one becuase of the metal brackets.

I think most of the cooler kits come with both metal brackets and zip ties so you can choose which you want.
