Trans. oil cooler hose question.

Does anyone know the I.D. and length of rubber hose for both lines from trans to cooler. My rig is stock ('96 TR4 V6, 2wd with 340e trans.). Thanks.:shrug:

You need 3/8" trans cooler hose. Length depends, are you installing a separate external cooler or do you just want to replace the original hoses to the cooler built into the radiator? For an ext cooler I would get about 8ft. You should have a little left over for things like installing spark plugs...

x2. I just bought 8' of 3/8" ID for my second tranny cooler install, having used the hose from the two kits on the first install. I think they gave me fuel line hose which will work due to high burst strength.

I am just replacing the original lines that go to the standard rad/trans cooler, not an external oil cooler.

5ft ought to be plenty

Oh, and buy some new worm style hose clamps!

Great post and sound advice with the fuel line hose and repacing the hose clamps.
