trans swap q's for 95 v6

howdy folks, first timer here. just bought a 95 and am looking to replace the manual trans but unsure if I should buy a rebuild or pull a used, any thoughts from you old timers?(I will be having it installed for me as I do not currently have a garage, & anyone know a good toy shop in abq?)
secondly, do all second gen 4rnrs have the same size(interchangeable) drivetrains or are there certain years that do not work in/with others? also, can I use a transmission from the same model engine that was pulled from a pickup?

Hope you get a answere soon, I have the exact same question. I have a 84 wrecked Toy with a 5spd. will that go in my 91 v6 runner?
