Transcooler install question

BACKSTORY: Just installed the B&M Transcooler last week in preparation for my parents to use my truck to trailer their motorcycle to Tennessee. My 4runner is an '01 with 155k miles and has 4wd. Upon installation my mechanic told me I had impeccable timing as my transmission and radiator were just beginning to mix. He couldn't for sure recommend that I would need to replace the radiator. QUESTION: What I am asking is should I go get my transmission flushed and/or replace my radiator? The truck had no hiccups covering the 650 miles with bike and trailer to and from Tennessee this weekend after the transcooler install. (Also the mechanic bypassed the radiator when he installed it). Any input or comments from someone with experience in this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that would be good to do. Radiator replacement would obviously be more important at this point (potential to lose fluid or have a drop in fluid when it does rot out completely). It's not too hard if you want to try and tackle it yourself. Just a few items to remove and a few hoses and it's out and then put new coolant back in.

Transmission flush only if you need it. If there's coolant in the fluid then definitely. If it's not contaminated and the fluid is still bright and red then you're good. Water and oil don't mix so it'll be real obvious if you have any contamination. Check the fluid after driving the vehicle though, water I think is heavier so it'll settle at the bottom of the tranny pan and may not be in reach of the dipstick.
