Transfer case, actuator and water

Sometimes the extra money for an authentic OEM part is well worth it. Swapping ignition or electrical parts is one thing, but when you have a part that is a huge PIA to access and exchange like this actuator, my thoughts are to buy once cry once.
Having to go through this process more than once because of a faulty part would be a soul crusher for me.

For sure! I agree with that 100% which is why I'm hesitant, but the eBay retailers I'm talking about are listing them as Brand New "Genuine Toyota" parts. Below is a link to one of them... While I realize boxes and labels can be faked, it does "appear" to be an authentic OEM part. Some of the sellers have thousands of great reviews so I'd like to think that wouldn't be the case if they were doing shady business.

For sure! I agree with that 100% which is why I'm hesitant, but the eBay retailers I'm talking about are listing them as Brand New "Genuine Toyota" parts. Below is a link to one of them... While I realize boxes and labels can be faked, it does "appear" to be an authentic OEM part. Some of the sellers have thousands of great reviews so I'd like to think that wouldn't be the case if they were doing shady business.

They do seem to have the credentials. Could be they also supply the JDM market over there. Here in Florida I see a butt load of exempt Toyota vehicles (Diesel Surfs, LCs, and gasoline sedans) from the late 90s getting shipped through Port Everglades and Port of Miami. So those resto guys over there need parts sources. At $400 its not the money that is the gamble, just the wait time and possible reliability issues.

The name "Kabuki" evokes a historical, complex and visually high standard in theater performance, so this may be a highly regarded name in Japan.
The anime logo is comical though.

Yeah it appears to be a legit part and seller so I just decided to go for it. I just can't bring myself to spend $1,100+ for the same part here in the US. For that price or if this doesn't work out I'd rather just do the FJ case swap.
