Transfer case adapter bearing gone bad

Anyone ever have this happen to them?

Started pouring transmission fluid from the transfer case a few weeks ago. Haven't driven the truck, and just had time to rip the t-case out tonight.

The bearing and race are destroyed. Completely. Never seen this happen before.

Anyone have any insight as to why this would have happened?

This adapter was off the truck for a while. It's the one for my clocking ring that I rebuilt. Could it have been from dirt getting into the bearings?

The attached pic is of the 'races' that hold the bearings.

Anyone happen to know the PN for this bearing?

I have two other housings, but want to put a new bearing in there.

It's not in the FSM.
