transfer case replacement, what years?

Ok :violin: i know there is a thread for a leaky transfer case. I know nobody has found a solution. I have that problem

:gun6: but i really dont want to rid of my runner.

I have a 2004 V8 limited edition runner, 4x4 with only 4hi and 4lo.

I dont want to go and replace a 4 dollar seal by myself, or pay a dealer 2300to do it. :nono: Ridiculous

First question, is where is the filler, so i can keep topping it off, and

the most important question is can i use any transfer case for any year 4th gen 4x4 runner. I might as well look for a low mileage wrecked runner and do the transfercase swap myself.

Any year V8 should do it. There's nothing magic about the t-case. A competent, non-dealer, shop that works on 4wd's should be able to tackle it. Good luck!
