I'm trying to track down some vibration issues ever since I got new tires. They are road balanced and much better but I still have a vibration but it isn't all the time. I haven't replaced my upper ball joints and I'm wondering if that's the problem but I also noticed even before I got the tires that my transfer case lever vibrates a lot depending on engine speed. Anyone know what might be causing that? I saw in the 2nd gen forums that there is a nut out the output shaft that comes loose and can cause this situation but I'm not sure if the 3rd gen is the same way. I hate to do it, but if I can't figure it out, I may just take it to the dealer. I don't want to throw parts at it blindly.

The vibration could be caused by U-joints on the front or rear drive shafts. I'd put those on your list of things to check out before you take it to the dealer.
