Transfer case

Need some help quick. Im need a new transfer case for my 97 4runner found one out of a 2002 tacoma double cab with the 3.4 and auto. Will this work in my 4runner?

Anything will work but will it be drop in? As long as the Taco was a J-shift, it should work fine.

If the Taco had AWD, you will need some drive shafts and wire in a transfer ECU.

From the looks of the trucks interior it has the 4wd shifter in same place, so im assuming its not awd. and the places website "says" it will fit. I am looking for a total bolt in job, should I look for one right from a 4runner? Also says 56k,3.4L, AOD. Does AOD stand for automatic overdrive?
