Transfercase crossmember

I recently had a run in with a rock, and it mangled my transfercase crossmember. A buddy of mine has a chassis sitting in his yard from a 1988 4Runner. My question is this, is a crossmember from a standard transmission the same as an automatic? I firure that it would be easier to just put a new one on as opposed to fixxing the mangled one. Any input is most appreciated. Thanks, Sam.

Since there are only one set of x-member mntg holes in the frame, they're probably the same. But to make sure you'll have to measure and compare both. Get under your truck and learn about it.
