Transmission and Coolant Flush

I'm planning on getting a transmission and coolant flush very soon. I can't do it myself and I really don't want to inconvenience our family-friend mechanic with these type of small services. Do you think that shops like Jiffy Lube or Goodyear Gemini can manage to make these changes without *screwing* up? Your thoughts, please.

I would avoid the quicky shops like Jiffy lube and go to a rwal transmission place like Aamco or the dealership. It'll run close to $300 for a full flush (do the full flush on an automatic) on everything but they aslo won't have high school kids doing the job.
Brakes plus is ok too and a bit cheaper.

a coolant flush is so easy to do you shouldnt pay anyone to do it. it takes all of about 20 minutes and 24$ to do it

12$ for 2 gallons of undiluted antifreeze
5$ for a new thermostat
5$ for coolant flush
2$ for 4 gallons of distilled water

If it's simple to do, I'll seriously consider doing the coolant flush myself. Plus, I got better things to buy with that $61.00 I can save by doing it myself.
