Transmission DIY suggestions please

So I changed the tranny fluid this week. I just did a drain/fill (about 4 qts) bc I am over 150K with no fluid changes. It was pretty ugly. I was going to wait a bit and do another drain/fill after the TC has a chance to drain out.

I've checked fluid levels a few times and all looks good, but when I went up my first moderate hill I'm beginning to get THE smell for the first time.

So, I am wondering what your recommendations are? How long should I wait for another drain/fill? How soon do I need to get a tranny cooler (I was hoping to put this off for a bit)?

get a trans flush, it will get much more of the fluid out of the trans.
beware where you go to get it done though...
