Help please! I receive a call from my wife today (I'm on the road) frantic about how our '07 4 Runner 4.7 V8 puked trans fluid all over driver side and pooled up while picking kids up at school. Wouldn't respond to throttle, a/c went warm, hardly any power so she parked it. She tried again, parked it after 10 feet, parked it again, then discovers all the ATF under the truck.
3 months ago we had timing belt, water pump and belts replaced at 130k miles. A day later, ATF dripping under truck. Took it back and service mgr said tricky fitting causing problem when putting it back together and fixed it up.
Wife had 4Runner towed to dealership at end of day and will hear from them tomorrow. Asked wife to get under truck to check the connections and she said hell no. Thanks for the help honey.
What are chances that hose came loose and dealership is to blame? Tranny screwed? Is trans oil cooler inside radiator? thinking I need to see it for myself but I'm not getting back until Thurs. thanks!
