Transmission fluid...drain+refill when hot or cold?

I'm going to be doing a drain+refill of my tranny, and I wanted to know if it's best to do the service when the tranny fluid is cold or hot (or better said...operating temperature)?

I'll be doing a full flush in a short time, just want to start servicing my trans (to kill the anxiety).

i don't think it really matters. it may flow a little better when warm.
