transmission fluid temperature by scangaugeII?

OK. So, I know there are lots of folks out there using the Scangauge to do fluid level checks and have not heard of any reports of problems with getting the correct level. Anyone who has used it care to opine?

I don't understand, the SG can only "read" what the computer in the vehicle "senses." Is there a trans fluid level sensor that sends that info to the vehicle's OBD computer? If there is, and if it's readable then the SG can show it but the only thing I KNOW the SGII can show is TFT, Trans Fluid Temperature. If there are other transmission information specs that are viewable I don't know what they are.

There is no fluid level sensor. What I tried to say is that I used the TFT readout. That is the temperature reading I used in checking my transmission fluid level and it worked perfectly both times I did a drain and refill. I cross checked by measuring the amount of fluid drained with the amount put back in and they were almost equal.

Sure its compatible for a vehicle you dont care about, or has an old worn out tranny thats on its last leg and your just wanting to keep alive.
Its just full of additives, sealants for that reason. Why its called "MAXLIFE"...

Normal Transmission Temps Range 140*F - 200*F
Is why temp gun is fluctuating from variables of load.

Just my 2 cents
If want your tranny to continue performing and lhave a healthy long life, no maxlife

Do yourself a favor
Stick with Toyota fluids, Amsoil, Mobile 1, etc.

After few months driving with Maxlife, when the car is accelerating, the transmission shifting gear is not smoothing ("swoop, or slip"). At first, it was smooth.

I am glad to hear that and I'm sure your rig will appreciate it as well I hope you flush out all that Maxlife doo doo and also make sure to reset the Ecu for the new Toyota fluid you put in so she can forget the last 6 mths and start to relearn/remember Toyota Fluid again
