Transmission fluid?

'18 4runner, I was under the hood and checked the oil level just for fun. It was great. Might as well check the transmission fluid level too.
No dipstick. Looked in the owner's manual and there was nothing on checking the trans fluid level.
Do you go under the truck and pull a plug and stick your finger in like a standard trans?
Not concerned about it, just got me to wondering.

Haven't looked on my 18'.

On my daughters 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee I had to buy a standalone dipstick that's a temporary use only.

No dipstick. Just paraphrasing so here it goes, you will need to a vacuum canister to apply 3 to 5lbs of hg to the fill plug buy a Toyota oem ATF tool take the drain plug out hookup a obd to make sure atf temp is between 105* to 113* degrees and then check for fluid if it's flowing out the gizmo it's over filled, if it's barely dripping you are good.If it's not flowing at all then you'll have to put the plug back disconnect the vacuum hose to the fill port, pump fluid in it. Hook up the vacuum back bring the temp backup to spec and check the Toyota oem gizmo for fluid barely dripping. And you are good to go.
