Ive noticed lately that when i start to climb a log hill, the vehicle downshifts from overdrive and i can feel an immediate loss in power. when i press the gas the rpm's go up but the response in power isnt there. i just had the engine rebuilt about a month ago, as well as a new cat, o2s, plugs, wires, and cap. any suggestions on that what may be. I was thinking maybe that this may be a transmission issue. fluid is good, but could probably use a change. thanks for the help

Probably would have been helpful to include that (newbie). Its a 95, v6, 4x4, 162,000 mi. Originally what happened is I started losing a lot of coolant. Diagnosed the problem as a blown head gasket. Ended up being a warped head, they resurfaced the head, and amid all of that the mechanic called me to come and look at the pistons, and it was obvious that oil had been getting passed the rings, so i just decided to have the thing rebuilt. i have had this thing about a year and its starting to wear on me. i feel like ive repalced about all i can.
