My 2008 4Runner Sport, also has the intermittent 3-5 second delay from R to D, but this weekend on Gatlinburg,TN on two occasion jump from 2 and 3 to neutral, grinding the gear to neutral. I was stopped both times on a bumber to bumber traffic at a 45 degree angle, going up in a mountain. My son driving my 2001 4Runner in front of me had no problem. Have any of you that live on Mountain's terrain have this problem ? My concern is the dealer in Miami, Florida are not going to be able to duplicate the problem or be familiar with the problem.
