Transmission Solenoid E

The CEL light came on in my '98 runner SR5 3.4L and after a reset it came on again after a few days. The code is for Shift Solenoid E. I was wondering if anyone has tried to flush the fluid to fix the problem. I don't know if I should just replace the fluid without replacing the solenoid or if I should replace both. Any advice is much appreciated!

I would go with the solenoid...

haha, i had the same thing happen, so I just threw in a manual transmission and got rid of the problem all together
