Transmission Strainer for A340F?

Apologies for the dumb question. I'm kinda new at the 4R gig.
I gather I have an A340F (2001 SR5 4WD).
I've searched this forum and other online parts sources and can't find a definitive solution. I even talked to the dealer and the parts guy said these are lifetime fill and not serviceable. I asked him why was there a drain plug...
Anyway, I'm seeing a 3533035020 and a 3533060030 filter/strainer listed for this but can't find a way to differentiate them.
What's the right filter? Does a pan gasket come with one?
Any suggestions are appreciated.

no pan gasket available from dealer, uses Trans FIPG. The strainer is replaceable, I did mine at 270k miles, was the original, was intact and not clogged, I replaced it anyway because it wasn't expensive. If your pan is leaking you should re-seal it, replace the strainer if you like, if your pan isn't leaking a drain and refill will do, get a new plug gasket and be careful when torquing the plug it's pretty easy to strip or cross thread.
 
The trans strainer has been serviced by many. They drop the pan, remove the filter and spray it out with some brake cleaner and put it back on. Unless your transmission was abused and the fluid wasn't changed very often, the chances that strainer mesh being blocked up is pretty slim. I dropped my pan mainly to see how much metal debris was accumulated on the magnets to give me an idea of the health of my auto trans. I also cut the filter apart just to see how much debris was in mine and it was very minimal. If you know the history of vehicle and the fluid was renewed on a regular basis, it's my opinion dropping the pan is a waste of time unless you needed to drop it due to a pan leak or for another reason like replacing shift solenoids.

The filter does not come with a gasket. Gaskets are an aftermarket option. The FSM instructs to use FIPG to reseal the pan to the transmission. It's the red FIPG.

So the strainer is just that, a strainer not a filter like the GM and Ford ones I'm used to? I've seen where folks install an inline filter (Magnafine?).
I don't know if this vehicle has had regular trans service but I suspect it has. I just want to swap out all the fluid for a baseline moving forward. Can I buy a new filter/strainer to have on hand when I dive in? Which one?

I provide a link in the video description to the filter I bought for mine. You need the same one I bought, the #35330-60030. The one that ends in 35020 is for 2WD models.

Here's a video of me installing an external trans cooler on my 2000 3rd Gen that includes installing an in-line magnefine filter for extra filtration. I renew that filter every 15k.

Hey Tim, for some reason those video's aren't working in Internet Explorer.
It just shows a black box.

They work fine in Chrome and Firefox though.
