Transmission Vibration: Mount, or Serious

Probably before it was the bad exhaust coupled with body mounts and the engine mount.

After the engine mounts were done last week, it was still there, and it was pinpointed to the heat shields and a leak on the new exhaust that Midas installed. We didn't bother checking out the new exhaust, as one would assume a shop would've done a good job.

Now it is really done.

I guess rubber and smoke are the first places to look if one has a vibration issue. Glad to put this thread to rest for good.

I noticed my truck gets a vibration (not a shake)under load from 65mph and up. If back down to 60mph and turn off OD the vibration increases. So its engine and nt driveline related. If i had to describe it, id say its like I can feel every piston firing. Are these the same symptoms you were dealing with? Also my trans shifter seems to wobble more than i would expect it to move.

Did the motor mount fix the problem?

While under the truck, i see the exhaust to block mount is broken. I am thinking its my passenger side motor mount and maybe the trans mount as well. Does this sound like your problem?

I know this thread is a few years old, but I have the exact same problem. The truck starts to vibrate a lot at and above 65mph. I'm pretty sure you've gotten it sorted out by now hopefully. Was it the motor mounts?

im having similar problems but Im not able to start my own thread for some reason. what do i do???
