You could also get a good, heavy duty dry bag and keep it inside. I'd vote for the roof rack since you already have a trasharoo on the way. I have one in my closet that I haven't figured out how to mount yet either.
I saw RSG posted a truck with one mounted to the hatch - I was actually thinking of asking this same question.
Has anyone mounted on the hatch and if so, are you seeing paint damage?
Thanks for sharing this. I reached out to this person on Instragram and he was nice enough to show me how he attached the Trasharoo to his hatch. Going to go this route and should have my Trasharoo later tonight.
He did mention that if you plan to go this route and carry any heavy items (i.e. firewood) it can dent the rear door and scratch the paint. I only intended to use it for trash so I should be go to go.
