Never take 10 through Phoenix unless you like a lot of trafic. We usually take 10 east to Rt. 85 (Phoenix bypass) down to interstate 8. Rt 85 is most all 4 lane now and as stated interstate 8 has minimal trafic. Interstate 8 ends where it connects back to interstate 10.
