I have a 2008 V6 4Runner with class III hitch. Will my SUV tow a 21' 2800lb. 350 Tongue wt 1966 Holiday Rambler?

Yes, you'll need a brake controller, that's it.

Got a question for you guys. Are your hitches the stock hitch that comes with toyota when you buy the vehicle or an option or aftermarket? The reason I ask is because I have a 2007 v6 I bought used so I'm not sure if I need a special hitch to tow a 3090lbs (dry) tt.

Thanks,

Does it have a hitch now? If it does there should be a label on it. Most T4R hitches that I'm aware of will pull 500/5000 or better.

I looked underneath and the part where you insert the ball is attached to the bumper. In the picture below you can probably make out the piece I'm talking about. That's my hitch right? It doesn't have a sticker on it so I'm thinking this the one Toyota supplies when you purchase it new with the tow option. It also has a harness connector.

Your T4R is probably pre-wired with a trailer connector too. Look behind the bumper where I have placed the arrow...

That looks like a genuine Toyota hitch. Your V6 hitch is rated for 500lbs of tunge and 5000lb total weight. If the trailer has weight distributing hitch the number is higher, 6200lbs I think.

PS- Good looking T4R, I am guilty of having mine too clean as well:biggrin2:
