UPDATE: found the problem with this unit. it did not work with my vehicle as a suspected because my vehicle was not CA-spec. from what i was told, my t4r has 2 O2 sensors and CA-spec has a o2 sensor and an a/f sensor. so therefore with different voltages and yada yada, will not work at all. unit turned out to be a great working unit.


1st set ecu boxes fit 00-01 4runner / 02-03 tacoma
2nd set ecu boxes fit 01-02 4runner / 02-03 tacoma
both for 3.4 liter engines


ok y'all, i have a very good shape complete TRD 7th injector setup. Heres the deal, i have 2 complete sets of the TRD injector boxes. Reason for that is because i thought i had problems with the first box so i bought another set from someone here named coinball who never used them when he bought them from another respected member here named bigfishallday. i did contact bigfishallday and he assured me when he sold them, they worked fine. when i received them from coinball, i hooked them up to my 7th injector and still had the same exact problem as before with the original ecu 7th injector boxes. they hook up piggyback with the vehicles ecu. so anyways I'm guessing that i have other issues other than the 7th injector edu, but not certain but doubt both sets are bad. anyways, i do have pictures of everything i have( both ecu sets of boxes and 1 injector and injector block.) also instructions for installation. both boxes have the same part number but one set shows a different year range. maybe thats why the second set never worked for me, because they were for a 2001 4runner and mine is a 2000 4runner 3.4l 4wd? dunno but done trying. if coin ball and biggish are as they say about the TRD boxes being good, then here is a TRD 7th injector setup CHEAP!!! i do not and never will sell anything i know is junk or non working to rip people off but have to SELL AS IS. I honestly believe that at least 1 works and possibly both. the second set of ecu boxes i believe were not going to because of my year.also you could contact coinball or bigfish to verify the 2nd set boxes worked for sure. i priced this low just so either way, you have the 7th injector setup that worst case, urd sells the ecu boxes to be comparable with the trd injector setup.

update : i was reading on the manual and didn't notice this on the front page till now when gathering everything up, at the bottom says its not called for non ca emissions vehicles. says there will be conflict. hmmmm. my runner was purchased in hawaii i believe. will that cause the issue? may have been a problem.
 
Did you get the proper wiring diagram from Gadget for 2000 4Runner. Either way, I'd run the compatibility of either box/set by Gadget for proper application.

I did purchase a used URD 7th Injector kit from a board member and ran the setup by Gadget. He did send me the proper wiring diagram and verified the ID number on the piggyback was compatible with my 97 4Runner.

Keep in mind, offering to compensate goes along ways when your asking for proprietary information.

hello, so no, i did not run this by gadget. i dont know who that is. this is the TRD 7th injector kit, not the URD. i do honestly believe that the second set of TRD ecu boxes are good because i purchased from a member here that i doubt would sell them bad. i beleive im having conflicts with my vehicle. either way, anyone here, make some offers on this kit. fits a wide range of years of t4r and taco. thanks
 
My bad it clearly reads.....TRD 7th injector kit. Both coin and fish are reputable stand up members, I would not doubt their representations of what they sold you. (URD) Gadget has experience with injector kits, perhaps tapping in on his experience could help. A master toyota TRD tech would seem reasonable direction for help as well.

Either way, my response was to help point yourself or a potential buyers to answers. That's what we do here

hey, o for sure. i do appreciate the help for sure. i may definitely contact gadget just to verify if these trd ecu's are conflicting with my vehicle. like i said, maybe since my vehicle was purchased in hawaii, that those boxes may not be calibrated for my t4r. dunno. anyways, maybe i could find a buyer local needing them so they could try them out. i believe they are both good, just for the fact that they worked for sure in coins and fish's
 
Do try TacomaWorld there's a lot of activity in there classified as well as on the taco boards. There's a regional forum, in the left hand column, which you could use to find local members or interest. Honestly, it may take sometime to find the right buyer, keep bumping until sold. GLWS

If you find out if it will work on a 2001 Tacoma, I will probably be all over it like a wolverine on a waffle.
