My brakes were very spongy when I purchased the truck. I've got an '03 Limited with 120k on the clock. I had the rotors turned and pads replaced with the TRD pads. I also had the brake fluid flushed. My goodness it stops so well now.
The front pads produce an incredible amount of dust. I only have about 200 miles on the new pads and had a few thousand on the OE type pads (not sure what they were). There was really no brake dust to speak of on the old pads.
Just thought I'd share the fact I'm please with the effectiveness of the TRD pads.
The cost was nearly $100 bucks for and axle. I hope they last a while.
