TRD CAI Just Arrived

Ordered a TRD CAI last Monday as I was starting to read a lot of threads claiming they were being discontinued for our model. I was surprised to see it shipped the same day I ordered last week and just arrived to my door - $354 shipped!

I know this is a bit more pricey than other models out there, but I really wanted the TRD...

Anyway, stoked to get'er installed. Will get up post and pics ASAP!

Yeah I heard they used to be cheaper. I think because it's discontinued it why there was a price hike.

Yeah, like I said definitely more $$ but piece of mind with the TRD specs and EXACT fit.

Yeah, I saw a lot of places offering $399 - $435, not including shipping!

pricey, but it will be nice coz its TRD. why is it that no available TRD intake for V8?...love to have it on my Runner other than aftermarket.

Alright guys, sorry for the delay - been crazy crazy crazy at work. I got'er installed same night and have been driving for the last few days since my post. I have to say I love the throttle response - instant gratification!

It sounds pretty sweet at high RPM, but otherwise hardly noticeable over the drone of my tires and general wind resistance from being lifted w/rack etc.

Was thinking of writing up a quick guide for install, but it was SO easy. Step by step instructions were spot on and the whole thing took about 40 minutes - might have taken less if I wasn't chasing my kids around the front yard while trying to swap it out.

And I know "THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICS" - I am in Vegas now for "work" and then straight to San Diego for another week. I'll get some up as soon as I get back.

Overall I highly recommend this product if you are willing to part with your $$$. :bigok:

If you're willing to spend that cash on a TRD intake you might as well add the TRD cat-back, its about the same price! :naughty:

Dang my Toyota dealership quoted me at $410 for the TRD CAI today...I said ummm well I'm going to walk around and come back...

If any of you have thoughts on getting the TRD intake, stop thinking on it and it and get it! Part is discontinued, so you don't want to look back and say, "I should have....".
