Trd fj rims need tires

So I bought a set of the trd fj cruiser rims and need tires for them. I know what tires I want and plan on getting the bfg ko's. Its just a matter of what size that i need advice on. My ome 3 in lift kit is in route and should be here tomoro and on next weekend. My driving habits are 95 percent on road and hopefully will be changing with the lift and new tires lol. Im thinking 285 75 16 will be perfect and can get them for 950 out the door from costco... anyone oppose that? Other suggestions? I know there may be minimal trimming but anyone with the same setup know how much?? Also with the different offset and 285's will the tires stick out of the fender well A Lot? I know i'll probably just have to wait and see how it looks.

don't know much about ur tech question but the bfg's are awesome. I had them on my last truck- Jeep GC 01 an they were great- went thru everything but not quiet. I now have a TR4 08 an got Nittos an theyr awesome- go thru all but a little quieter than BFG. The BFG's feel like they could take more than the Nittos but so far after an 7000 mile cross country trip theyr greeaattt!! Good luck n post the lift project when ur done.
