TRD Header questions

I might pick up a set of used trd headers. They are currently on a 2001 tacoma. Will they fit my 98 4runner? I know the install if a pita. Are there any install guides? How much will a shop charge for installing them? Anything I should look for on them before buying? Seller said there were a few cracks but they were welded up. Finally, what are they worth?

Dunno if I would do one with cracks. Maybe if you are DIY because the install costs are prohibitive to do twice.

My truck runs a lot better with them though.

Cracks sound sketchy.

Should good Headers ever crack at all?

How do you know they are real TRD?

How much are you going to pay?

I love my trd headers which came off a 2001 Tacoma I'm prety sure. I would keep searching around. I picked mine up for 400

Cool guys. I will let you know what happens. Like I said I'm getting a pretty good deal. All this for $2000... TRD supercharger 2nd gen used but rebuilt , 2.1 urd pulley, urd mass calibrator, urd afr calibrator and the urd headers (plus new gaskets for them). Decent deal imo and the guy is local.

Do you plan on installing it yourself? It's a lot of work, so if it's your daily driver you might want to consider if you can get it done. If the 4Runner is a spare vehicle then that's totally different.

I thought about headers... for about 5 seconds. The price you're getting isn't bad considering all you get though. Worst case scenario you can re-sell the headers if you decide not to put them on.

Do you recall what the part number for your headers is?..

Is it any on this box and does your truck have 2 cats?...

I am looking at buying a set of headers also off a Taco and also cracked, the seller says he will have them welded.
My question is I have heard the install is a PITA, but would it be easier if I am pulling the transmission and do it at the same time?
I remember reading that you have to lift the engine off the mounts to get the headers in correctly, I am hoping with the transmission out there would be enough room to do it relatively easily

If they were free, and you were putting them on yourself then I'd do it.
It is very hard to get headers repaired after they crack.

They'll usually crack next to the weld.
Weld it up, and it will crack again.
