TRD Ivan Stewart Rims

I just bought a set of the TRD Ivan Stewart rims for my 04 4Runner and can't get a straight answer from a dealer if it is okay to use them. They are 16X8s. I put one on the front without a tire and it seemed to have enough room but I don't want to buy tires anyfind out they are gonna hurt my vehicle. I just am wondering if anyone here has them. Any help would be appreciated.

It might help if you tell us which 4Runner you own. If you own a 4th Gen Sport Edition.. I think you're S.O.L b/c of the size of the brake disc. It's larger than the S45 and the Limited.

Sorry still new at this. It is a V8 Limited. I fixed my signature so hopefully that shows now. Thanks for the heads up.

You should be ok then. Check the specs on the brake discs for the front and rear. They are smaller than the Sport Edition so 16's would be fine.

If you have your dealer mount them, they will be covered under your vehicle's warranty.

How much did you get them for?

Those are some of my favorite rims ever, they look really good on Runners too.

If they are not too much I might get a set of them for Mud Tires and keep my current rims for the All Seasons.

I know Performance Products recommends only mounting size 265/70 16 on the TRD Ivan Stewart wheels. What size were you looking at? Some people had trouble balancing them with any size different than what is recommended.

Okay to catch up here, I just got the wheels mounted yesterday! I got my dealer to mount the tires/wheels and they said it would not affect my warrantee. Don't quote me on that with your dealer. The one thing it will effect is the tire pressure sensor. They tried to transfer it from my stock wheel, but it was too big to fit in the TRD wheel. They said my dash light would always be on now. I did not change my spare out yet and the light has not come on so far. I guess if the other sensors are out of range but one is okay and in range, the light stays off.
I paid about $800 for the set of 4 new of Ebay (Toyota dealer), which is about $400 cheaper then PP price.
I put Michelin Cross Terrain SUVs (265/70 16s) on because I had 2 new ones from my 99 4runner that I had never used. The ride is a bit stiffer then before but not bad (I had stock Bridgesone H/Ts before).
The tires and wheels look awesome! I will post a couple pics ASAP.

As I stated before, some of my favorite rims on a Yota,

I really want to see them on yours because I was originally thinking of going up to 18's instead of down. But the 16" tires are a bit cheaper, expecially when your shooting for a 285 or a 33x12.50.

Lets see those pics,

800 is pretty good for them too, did you get the balance done to the inside of the rim, or did they clamp that crap onto your rim finish?

Yeap, they look badass on there, I bet they would look lots better with some more aggresive tread but they look good as hell with those tires.

Can't wait, I think those will be the ones I get for it in the future. With some MTR's about a 285 size when the funds allow it.
