Little update: Stop by the Elk Grove Toyota today to find out about getting TRD PRO inferno. What a great experience compared to Vacaville! Sale manager told me another dealership owed him a trade for a TRD Pro and that he would get it for me. I asked about price and he told me he would take care of me. (bought a couple of cars from them, plus referred a couple) Now I am in a hold pattern, but there is hope.

I'd give Hayward Toyota a call and see if we will be getting any in stock. Though chances are they may try and ask way too much for it... You know what just stick with Elk Grove.
Earnhardt Mesa, az. Has white one. Think they said sticker was like 41k which seemed cheap to me

I got a call from Putnam earlier today - they have an inferno in stock apparently.
As others have mentioned, I wouldn't rule out a short plane flight and driving back. After researching my 2015 Trail Prem / KDSS, none of the local dealers had interest or inventory, much less willing to make a deal.
I wound up flying to Salt Lake City, and the net out-the-door price more than covered my airfare and return gas. (Probably not my time though, to each his own.)

It is difficult to find a 4Runner TRD Pro. The reason is because out of all of the TRD Pro models, Toyota made the least amount of them in the 4Runner model. There are more Tacoma Pros than 4Runners and the Tundra Pros are even more abundant than the Tacomas. I've had 6 Tundra Pros, 2 Tacoma Pros and only one 4Runner Pro at my dealership.
So here is a little story about what happen. As you read about in my original post Toyota of Vacaville (TOV) was jerking me around. So I was talk to a buddy of my who is in the car business and was telling he about TOV hosing me. He laugh and said he was friends with owner and finance manager and said he would call the owner for me. TOV had just got the TRD Pro inferno in so I when to check out the color. I text my buddy saying I was at the dealership. He called me and told me the owner is look for me. He gave me a little heads up about the price on the TRD Pro and it would be firm but would help me out on the trade in, extended warranty, and what interest rate is good. The owner worked the deal as the salesman watched. Here is the bottomline I paid MSRP (First time) got almost what I wanted for my trade in and 5/100 extended warranty for a couple hundred over cost, which was three times cheaper then initially quoted. Plus my wife bought extended warranty for her highlander for the same price. Was it a great? Probably not, but I am not sure. All I know is I got the vehicle I wanted and I am happy.

There is no doubt the TRD Pro is hard to find in CA - but in nearly every state. I did a search to see how rate they are and 60% of the dealers in 20 of the largest cities have zero on the lot. You could convert a new Trail with KDSS to a Pro for less than $50K and still have a lot of money left over.

I'm in the process of buying a TRD off-road premium here in Salt Lake City, I'm curious what dealer did you buy from? Also when you bought it did you get it for below MSRP and if so what percent?
Totally agree. The way they're pricing them you'd think they were still new.. so I'm curious what they'd sell for. I talked to one and seemed like they were ready to come down to $43k but that still seemed to high...

Ya this was my experience also. I found a couple TRD pros but no joke they wanted $5-10k over sticker. I laughed and left. I went to about 7 dealerships including long the "biggest" Toyota dealer and still nothing. Not sure if my age hurt but no one would work a dealer. I finally decided on my SR5 permium 4x4. Got a better deal at Toyota of San Bernardino and I bought it before it was done with PDI also.
With all my mods I'm still cheaper than a TRD PRO and is customized to my liking.
