TRD PRO...need advice

Hey guys

Just got my 18 TRD PRO few months ago.

Right off the bat, I had an issue, where it was pulling toward driver side. Dealer took care of the issue.

Maybe this is my OCD, but want to confirm. I know the rear sits higher then the front. But it's all over the place, look at the pictures. Is this normal? I would think the fronts should match up and so should the rears?

I don't have pro but i measured mine and it was much further off than that. it does look funny depending on the surface its parked on but Toyota tolerances at +-7/8" IIRC.

Seriously? 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch? I think you need to get something checked and it isn't your 4runner.

That amount of variability is fine. Think about how complex the assembly of parts is in our vehicles and how many different components there are. Those components and assemblies will vary from wheel to wheel and 4R to 4R. Factor in something as simple as your suspension not being settled (one of the first steps in leveling your headlights is to bounce your suspension up and down to settle it) and you can imagine just how much variance there can be.

The variance from wheel to wheel on yours isn't actually that much, so don't worry.

........And everyone thinks the PRO is better, I can understand people might judge that flaw. I am thinking a 4 tank system that will transfer ballast between the tanks to ensure level ride is maintained. I don't think response times will be fast enough to keep it level around corners,braking or other abrupt manuevers so make sure to only do those things when people are not looking


OP, thats normal and honestly pretty darn consistent compared to some of the other members. Also keep in mind, if you are measuring from the ground, you are assuming its level. Would not worry about it.

The surface you measure on can change your measurements depending on how level it is. So can tire pressure which is why most people measure from the center of the wheel. OP your measurements are pretty good.
