I would think the setup would fit regardless, but I wanted to get rid of the rake as I like that look better. Fwiw I will most likely be selling the sequoia in the very near future and will put the stock rims back on and sell the rock warrior wheels. The current nitto tires have roughly 17k miles on them, not sure where you are located but when the time comes let me know if you are interested in these.
With one kid now in a booster and the 2015 Sienna as the kid hauler I need a toy for during the day, and that will be a 6th gen 4R if it ever comes out, or a 2016 Tacoma.

Pricing on a 2008 Land Cruiser is going to be close to (maybe a bit less) that of a TRDPro.

actually IMHO a newer(2008) 200 series or Lexus 570 will be more with under 50K miles than a trd pro and maybe a touch less with over50K miles
factor in the maintenance and it will be back up about the same as a new pro
what you linked to is a GX or the 120 which is basically the prado which is basically the same as the 4runner mid size
the 3rd gen LX570 or 200 series are the larger newer (previous or 2nd gen the 100 or LX470) full size Land cruiser sized rigs most associate when hearing Land Cruiser
so go punch in LX570 in that search and you will see the TRD Pro will be considered cheap
and around 100K miles go hit ih8mud and look up what needs to be done and figure in that extra coin if you are buying a higher mileage rig

got it. corrected. my bad haha. i read GX not LC. Land cruiser is the cream of the crop, and it costs that and more. I couldnt justify getting an '08 or newer LC and taking it anywhere near anything more than a dirt road haha. Too expensive to screw it up for my tastes.
but if one has more money than sense, they can have at it.

to the OP look into the highlander I had one as a loaner when my FJC was in shop
very nice but for sure a car feeling ride
or just get the trd pro and love the thing I dumped my FJC last month for a 4runner
not sure about the kids seats bring them down to the dealer that is what I did when my kids were in seats they fit fine in the FJ but then there legs grew ahahahahahha and they they wanted windows and there own doors
one thing I loved my FJC love love loved it
the TE with its KDSS is amazing on the road handles IMHO way better than the regular models and since a majority of our driving is to the off road spots then going camping and not rock crawling the KDSS wins out
even when loaded the thing still can corner flat which is really nice
but that is me in love with the KDSS I say test drive both and corner both a bit hard and see what you think then get the one you love

I don't need a HL, I already have all the new Toyota refinement in the form of the 2015 Sienna. Truly a beautiful car inside and handles wonderfully for what it is. The sequoia is just a big burly beast and no longer serves a purpose in our family. Therefore the 2016 Tacoma double cab manual transmission will be my toy of choice should the wife finally give in and let me get it. It fits five people as comfortably as a 4Runner, has a manual transmission for the fun aspect, and is a Toyota. That should be enough right there.
My history with Toyota vehicles is rich, 1996 4Runner, 2000 4Runner, 2004 4Runner, 2012 Sienna, 2012 sequoia, 2015 Sienna. At this point in life I will begin keeping my vehicles a bit longer, ie 2015 Sienna will remain until at least 2020, and if I'm successful in getting a Tacoma, at least until 2021. I miss my 4runners, and really miss a manual transmission.
