Dealer manager swore he could get them, today he got hit with the truth from the guys in the part ordering area. Promised me he'd give them to me at what he pays (no idea what that is) once there's a way to get around this.

So not sure if I'll ever get them, but I guess "at cost" isn't horrible. Though I'm not sure how much more of a savings that would be considering his "at cost" for the TRD Pro Grille/Garnish was more than if I buy it myself from the Toyota Online Part Store, even with shipping.

Damn, and I just called my dealer today to follow up and he tells me he can't order them as they are discontinued so I decided to call another nearby dealership. The guy I ended up talking to knew what was up. He said he hasn't been able to get any but they should start to be available around first of June and he'd be happy to take my cash! Ha! T4R member? He sounded like he was reading one of these posts...

So I called a few places today to get some price quotes on the K02s and one shop told me that running LT tires adds a lot of stress to a car due to heavier weight and was directed to stay at stock size and P rated tires.

Is there any truth to what this tire shop is telling me?

There is a little added stress of course but nothing significant since it is only a half inch to an inch difference. Look at all the other modified vehicles in the world. Like all the threads say, anything larger than 285 is a pretty big jump though.

I bought matte black TRD wheels (see previous post) from ebay (Penske263, Madison (WI) Toyota) with an ETA of May 16 or one week after purchase. Now 8 days later and I still do not have a shipping notification. I spoke with their Parts Dept, all 28 sets were already shipped but I was not in the top 28 even though I was #23 (on ebay) of 28 sets first available last week. The dealer guy said they are promised 100 sets by May 22 or 23. Long story, I am still waiting.

I ordered on the 9th and when they didn't start to ship I emailed them. Their communication was great and they told me that the main warehouse ran short on supply when multiple dealers start re-selling. I finally received shipping notification on the 15th and they arrived this morning! Very happy with the quick shipping. The rims look perfect..looking forward to getting them mounted.

I hope you get your's in a little bit quicker, but luckily it's not into June like some folks have thought.

Just a status for those wondering, stopped by my local dealer yesterday and had them check if they can order for me yet. Guy said the hold until June 1 was lifted but he was still unable to order yet and check back next week.

If I didn't have it in writing that they'd sell to me at invoice, I'd be jumping on one of the on-line sellers, or looking at some Methods.

Received my rims this past weekend, went to a local tire shop to get 275 K02s and got it all mounted and setup. I love these rims with the more aggressive looking K02s.

I hope you get yours asap!

$730 sounds like a great price. I was quoted between $210-225 per wheel here in Minneapolis area. I paid $825 no tax or shipping which was better price than my local dealers.

did you end up swapping over your TPMS?

Yes I did and everything switched over without any issues.

I do have some rubbing that I'm researching on how to adjust the liners, but other than that, the tires and trd wheels combo is amazing and I'm really glad I decided to upgrade to them.
