TRD Skid plate post lift

Me again,

Just went to put the TRD Front Skid plate back on after installing the King Suspension System, getting a crappy alignment and an oil change. Left the skid off fo rthe oil change. I installed the Skid plate tubular support pieces as instructed, but there is no way the front bolts are long enough to use the factory bolts.

I also noticed that on the drivers side the Support bar is a CH away from the sway bar...millimeters. The instructions are kinda crappy and show the bolts going into the wrong holes i believe.

First pic is the rear skid plate support. Where it shows the bolt, arrow to the right in pic is actually where the TRD bolt itself goes, and in the rear is where I supported it. In the front pic,
Thats close to another 1/2 inch spacer. THe original bolt in the skid plate is no where near close to making it.

Am i missing something here?? Anyone else with a TRD Pro install the the Kings and able to use original hardware??

Swaybar will be close, mine was also. I bought Prothane poly bushings which come with adjustable brackets so I was able to move the bar back some. I'm going to experiment with removing the drop brackets now that i've moved the swaybar using another method. Bolts are easy, but longer bolts. Skid is designed to go on with no lift, they don't plan ahead for aftermarket mods.

Front skid plate bolts are not long enough due to the sway bar spacers on the higher lift. You need to get longer bolts. I got mine from my dealer as they come across this all the time.

Some 50mm 10x1.25 bolts from Lowe’s did it up front. What a pain in the ballls though. It looking forward to the next oil change. I almost always do those myself.

I used 10m 1.25 x 60mm. Got 4 and now all 4 bolts are the same (wanted to make sure it was same socket size for all bolts). The rear ones go all the way through the lower radiator support bracket, so being a bit lonk is OK. I don't think you can go longer than 60 in the front as any longer may hit the radiator. 50mm was hard to get threaded for me, but 60 seems easier.

Of note, the sway bar lowering kit (toytec) also drops the skid away from the subframe, so I dont think you can use the jack point anymore on the skid as the skid does not touch the frame anymore in the raised Circular jack point.

I have a sr5 wi5 kings and my factory skid plate fits fine with the original hardware.
