TRD supercharger

I live in Canada, and i just talked to the dealer, and they said that the TRD supercharger isn't available for the 4runner yet.

I thought people on this forum said that the new 4.0L will fit on the 4runner with the FJ kit?

can anyone clarify this?

Dealer is going to tell you according to their books there's no such thing for a 4runner and won't be. The do it yourself way is the charger+fj fit kit+ APR X-1 tune.

would you recommend getting other upgrades along with the S/C? like headers or upgraded exhaust?

is that APR X-1 tune the best launch controller?

I'm mechanically inclined but when it comes down to installing my own supercharger i dont think i'm confident enough to do it, i'm sure i can pay the local shops to do it.

If you're mechanically inclined and can follow directions, the instructions from TRD are very well written and concise. The APR is an alternative to getting your truck tuned by Toyota's DRB tool and much better in so many ways that it can be saved for another discussion.

Upgrades to intake and exhaust can't hurt. Anything to help that air pump breathe better helps.
