TRD Supercharger?

I've had two 3rd gens in the past, both with the TRD supercharger, which makes them a much better vehicle to drive. Does anyone know if TRD is offering one for the new 5th Gens? And, if so, where can I find out the details?

nothing announced yet, Id suspect it will be a year or so before one is offered, they probably want to get some cars out there before they try and sell something that only a handful of owners are gonna buy.
If/when it comes, I will be interested

They made one for the older 4.0 V6 engine(1GR-FE with VVT-i) for the FJ's and Tacos with a kit at a cost of $4500 but not one for the new 4.0 V6 with dual VVT-i.Toyota Racing Development
I would not hold my breath waiting for one for the new 5th 4runners ,that's for sure.I'm not sure there is enough interest.Best to just e-mail TRDUSA and ask them.:boink:

To be honest ,now that I'm over 1000 miles on mine as of last week and have been getting on it ,the power IS more then the 4th's v6 and can feel the extra 30+ ponies.I had the speedometer buried last night with plenty left . But not on the low rpms ,you have to keep the rpms up and use/play with the new gated shifter. The power band and peak torque curve just comes in at higher rpm's ,more like the european auto motors v6's as I come from a Porsche and BMW background the last 15 years. These new dual VVT-i engines, when you floor it ,it really kicks in over 4000 rpm, almost like kickin in a 4 barrel Holley carb of many moons ago.
My engine has definitely gotten stronger and the gas mileage better since it has broken in now!

Cool...I'll email TRD directly to see if they have any plans. I've had two modified TRD S/C's on 3rd gen's, so stock power is far from what I like...lol. Let's see who'd be seriously interested on this thread, so TRD gauge some interest.
