TRD Tundra Coil Spring alternatives?

TC I was trying to find the diameter of the Eibach springs for the longest time! I just wasn't sure if they were the diameter of Tundra springs which are larger than the 4runner springs. But as I understand it, the Eibach springs are essentially the same OD as a 4runner spring.

In all honesty I'd probably go for the TRD tundra springs with the 5100, however the stories of them hitting the spindles while flexed and at full droop scares me. Shouldn't have this problem with the Eibach's I presume....

Eibachs are the same diameter as a 4Runner spring yes. when I ran tundras I smacked the spindle all the time at full droop. I haven't had that issue with the eibach springs.

When you install the Tundra coils, you have to clock them correctly so they don't interfere with the spindles. It takes a little more time to do during installation, but you have to rotate them to where there is a space between the coils that lines up with the spindle at full droop.

How about OME 883s? I found a set of Tundras with Bilstein shocks at the local salvage yard for $80. After the winch/bumper I bought a set of 883s (used) to replace them. They gave me about 1" more lift than the Tundras (for the extra weight of the winch and bumper) and were not nearly as stiff (much better ride).

Do you think if I ran these coils with Bilstein 5100's on the lowest perch it would give me a little less than the 3 inches of lift everyone is looking for? The 2" lift achieved by the Tundra TRD springs was almost the whole reason i wanted to go that route.

Thanks for the tip. I just pulled the trigger on them. I'll have to return the Tundra hats, but the restocking fee is negligible compared to what I've just saved by getting these coils. Appreciate the tip. Have any pics with yours installed?

Did you end up doing this? I'm in a similar boat where I bought the Bilstein 5100 already and don't want to return them. How'd it turn out?
