Your TRD Pro looks amazing! Was there any drilling required when you installed the NFab nerf steps?

Thank you very much! the Nfabs are so easy... dead simple actually. On a TRD/TRAIL, just 5 bolts that you remove from your underbody. Lift the rail up to the holes, put bolts back. Easy Peezy! 10 minutes per side max!

also, really dig what you've done in the back with the mat. won't work for me though as i have the factory cargo deck.

Thanks... been looking for a solution back there and just happened to run right into this mat at AutoZONE. It was perfect!

I have the sliding cargo tray and it works great. Shouldn't be a problem even without the sliding tray. It'll just slope down rather than lay flat.

You're very welcome and thanks for the comments! It was one of those great finds just by running right into it by luck. Couldn't believe how perfect it fit too! Just what I was looking for. And so inexpensive for what it is. Tougher than nails too.

BTW, Any chance you could PM me the LED info that you installed? I'd like to do the same, yours look really bright in daylight! Thanks...

That's awesome man! Love it. Well, it's definitely not for the faint of heart. It takes meticulous work... I work hard/often to keep it nice, wax regularly (this is key) for a long, lasting look. My '99 Runner (black w/ scoop) was a 3rd gen almost identical to this.... well sort of... I had it for 13 years and took very good care of the paint. Waxed it so often that at the end of 13 years, the paint still looked awesome! No fading at all, only rock chips in the front. Ask yourself if you're willing to work this much on it. If not, go with Inferno. That's a sweet color too. Tough choices... I'd love to see someone w/ inferno around here, but flattered that the truck is hypnotizing you into BLACK! No regrets here. You must have hated it to swear it goodbye. That may be your answer.... Thanks man!

TRD Coilover

Here's a pic of the TRD front coils. So they are NOT adjustable, right? Think I heard that they are definitely NOT. But just trying to confirm 100%. Seeing that exposed ring is haunting me as if it is.... Hmm.

Well it's not a permanent install for one. It just lays there when you need it. it doesn't slide around and has really good grip to the interior.

Here's my application: when I need to haul gear, dogs, dirty items and anything large, I put the 2nd row seats flat and use it as it is in the picture. When the 2nd row seats are up, I simply fold or roll over that material on top of itself or "double back" towards the rear (fold in half) and it creates a double thick mat for the trunk only. in THIS position only you can use the sliding cargo tray. It's a little awkward to grab the handles but doable. (just lift it up) It wasn't designed for the 4Runner, BUT it has worked well for hauling the above. It'll save your floor and seatbacks from getting thrashed. It's very durable to dragging or puncture.
As with anything, it won't work for everybody but was PERFECT for what I needed. Hope it works for others... Thanks!

The guy who works at the FL port (sorry, can't recall his name) said they are definitely not adjustable, but if they come with the springs installed on the shock, then I'm not sure how they can say that with such certainty. I think we will know a lot more when someone is willing to take them apart....or use a spring compressor to try to adjust the bottom perch. If you shine a flashlight inside of the bottom spring area do you see another line above the bottom black perch? If they are adjustable I doubt Toyota would advertise that fact. I'm not saying they are adjustable, but rather I'm not 100% convinced they are not.

Oh Yes....JM4Runner! Not doubting him by ANY means as he's on the front lines BUT... Why would that ring be there? I just wanna know! JM? Any ideas?

That definately looks like a "spring seat position for ride height adjustment" to me on that TRD/bilstein.
Appears they are set to the .85" position.
The exposed one you can see would be the "0" position , if they are like the 5100's in design.
The question is, is there another spring seat position above the current setting?

They may have been made with only 2 possible positions..... Someone is going to have to chime in that can give a definate answer on that one!

Maybe [MENTION=111615]JM4Runner[/MENTION] can let us know how many spring seat positions are on these.

LOL, I've got the TRDP in the garage still waiting on back ordered N-Fabs!
Hope your TRDP gets to you soon, it's very much worth the wait IMHO.

I see you have the 4 gallon Roto on the roof. How heavy is it when filled up? Is it hard to maneuver on and off the roof without putting your knee into the quarter panel?

Oh man, that's tough to get 'em and wait. But I know the feeling. I had my GOBI stealth for 2 weeks before getting the TRD! Hang in there... won't be long!
