Treadwright Warranty?

Anybody actually had a positive treadwright warranty claim?
I had a tire tread bust apart on the highway (no impact or anything) with only 2500 miles on the tires. I was stranded for hours (btw check your rigs for that long special tool to lower the spare :boom:)

I filed a warranty claim 2 weeks ago and got an email response saying I'd get a phone call, but nothing! I've been sitting on the spare long enough!

I was hoping they'd at least honor the warranty, but wow..

I've read of a couple folks on here getting sent a replacement tire. If it's been 2 weeks I'd call them: (713) 487-4661 Luck. :cowboy:

That sucks. I would actually call them. Sometimes it can push warranty claims along.
 
Seems like the only thing I routinly hear about Treadwright tires is that they fail...alot...and catastrophically.

I honestly wouldn't put Treadwright tires on my truck if they were given to me for free; and I'm poor too – so it's not like I have extra cash sitting around for real tires. But I'd rather be poor than dead.

Not surprised they haven't returned any phone calls though – probably takes them a while to make their way down the complaint list.

Only tires I run and will continue to run them.

had treadwrights with the glass and walnut tread on my cj7 and my yj, had an issue balancing on the yj and they sent out a new tire and reimbursed me for the trouble.

fantastic customer service as far as i'm concerned. they are a larger company now, much as many other their internet service may lack a bit, but you can always call and speak to someone and they'll take care of you (from my experience).

(713) 487-4661 , they are in texas so business hours may be a bit different from your timezone, but give them a call.

How many miles did you get on the Walnut/glass ttead,?
 
I had them too. Never really any problems except couldn't balance well. They were way too heavy with my steel rims. I sold the combo.

they came on the cj with supposedly 20ish k on them, i put another 20 on before i sold it and they weren't run down.

had them put on the yj and did an easy 40k before i sold it, same thing, maybe 25% left
 
just an update..
got the call and new tire on the way.



**edit** two weeks later and still no tire, nor have they charged my account for the shipping...

just ain't worth it.. going to have to bite all these costs and go to a tire shop tomorrow to buy some different tires

Can't believe people have time to waste worrying about balancing issues and quality defects on these recycled tires. Ok for a trail rig but I pray for those that let their families drive around on these tires that nothing bad happens. Not saying new tires are free from issues, but really now, a used tire carcass? Can't believe they are still in business tbh. There's a sucker born every minute I guess.
 
Yeah and apparently im one of them...they pretend like theyre shipping a new tire but nothing ever shows!

Avoid treadwright at all costs. just a nightmare.
