I actually like some of the designs choices on these tents a lot, especially the windows in the extended annex. Only issue is that they are located in Western Canada and I live in South Florida...shipping cost is pretty crazy for me. If they were closer and I was still looking for a RTT they would be near the top of my list for sure. In the end I’m still really happy with the quality of my CVT and their customer service has been outstanding.

For a cost of $1655 to over $3k and only a 2 year warranty with no mention of where it's made?

Looks like a solid choice, and appears well made. I'd like to know where it is made, but I assume they would consider it a selling point to say it was built in a Canada if it was. The price seems ok too if it's as well made as it appears.

That’s a good question. But then again why do people “go nuts” for black wheels with fake bead locks?

It seems like nowadays soft top roof top tents all seem to be strikingly similar when actually compared. They seem to be the same basic thing getting pumped out of factorys in China with minor tweaks to be sold as different brands. For what it’s worth I looked at as many roof top tents in person as I could before going with an iKamper Skycamp.

I have one. Chose it over others because of some design things like the rounded windows so you can roll them up all the way if you want. Most people who see my tent for the first time comment on the great build quality. These people are people who own Freespirit, CVT, Tepui.

Yes, true after all... The hardshell tents are gorgeous but the full length rack requirement is essentially a different market really. I would be getting a Skycamp myself as they are one of the finest clamshell examples (great price and availability) but not putting a full length rack on my vehicle just to hold a tent.
