I've sat back and lurked this thread for a while but I really have to chime in and say you're becoming quite irritating. Let me add that I have no affiliation with Troy whatsoever, nor did I even purchase anything from the group buy; but when I had any questions, he responded in a very professional manner and clarified all my concerns.

Whatever he's selling may or may not be your cup of tea, but why must you constantly bash it, over and over and over again? Calling it beating a dead horse would an understatement. I think every body gets the point, they are on the cheaper end of the spectrum and made in China.

Do you see anyone here going into a Rigid LED lights thread and repeatedly reminding everyone that owns a set that they just spent 1000 bucks on a set of lights that cost ~10 bucks to make? (I'm just throwing out hypothetical figures here, in case you feel the need to try to correct my statement)

I'm not even knocking on Rigid products, there is no argument that they top notch quality and will last you a while, but is it really relevant in this thread?

And show me where i have bashed Trek light's products, i merely asked for videos showing them pounded on, expressed that i will not buy a chincom product, and expressed why the other brands are superior. Aside from that, wondered out loud why it takes so long to get said lights in a group buy that has been going on for a month, and no one has there lights. Learn to read, then come back and tell me how superior you are. I am merely speaking the truth, and truthfully, you are an idiot. Again, You get what you pay for, and on the lower end of the spectrum, your product will not last and you will make another purchase, in your case, probably another set of chincom lights, and the circle begins. Can we get one of those middle finger flipping off thingy's to paste in the threads.

To get back on topic, I can't wait to see some reviews and pictures once they start rolling in. Not to say that Troy doesn't post enough pictures, but looking at the same tree lit up at night gets kind of boring

Seeing as the group buy participants don't know when their specific items arrive to you, can you give an idea as to when all of the orders will be fulfilled so people can have an idea in a worst case situation?

Worst case? The pallet of lights falls off the back of the air freight plane and lands on my doorstep, causing us to continue in a vicious cycle :lol:

No one's laughing? I guess now isn't the time for jokes...

The factory will be done producing the order on April 4th.

My forwarder says he can get the pallet to my door in one week.

That puts us at the 11th. If I work feverishly with my wife to get everything labeled, I can get everything sent by the 15th

That puts us at two weeks and two days late from the original shipping deadline.

Worst case as of right now would mean not having everything shipped until the 20th, which would put us three weeks behind schedule.

Had to go to Tacoma World for an update. Below is a direct copy of the update there. Pretty disappointed that our forums have seem to have been forgotten by Trek Lights. Posted a question here as well as PM that have gone unanswered. I understand that more people from Tacoma World jumped on the group buy, but a customer is a customer. Every forum should have received the updates. Only takes a minute for a copy/paste.

Hey all!

I must say, what Tacoma World lacks in patience, is certainly made up for in enthusiasm!

We're getting these orders out as fast as humanly possible.

Here's our shipping process:

Unpack everything
Make sure nothing is broken
Count everything
Separate orders
Package everything
Print shipping label
Drive merchandise to UPS / USPS

If you receive a tracking number, your shipment has either gone out or is on its way out.

I know you're all eager to get your lights! I'm working my behind off getting these orders out the door.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to answer any of the following types of emails while we're in the shipping process:

1. Did you ship my order yet?
2. Can I have a tracking number?
3. Can you expedite my order?

5. Why do your lights look similar to...
6. Why are your lights not as cheap as...

The answers are:

1. Probably.

2. We're sending them as we create them, in real time.

3. All orders are on expedite status right now. I just spent almost $4,000 on air freight and will spend another $2,000 - $3,000 on shipping.

5. The housings and retail packaging are generally the same for all of these Chinese manufacturers. They buy the housings and fit their own optics/diodes/writing/reflectors. The internals are what differentiates one supplier from the other. My supplier had been in business for over 10 years and uses better internal components than most other manufacturers of these lights.

6. I spent lots of time testing lights from different manufacturers before I chose my current supplier. I believe I found the best quality Chinese manufacturer of these lights. I have a guy in China who works for me sourcing parts. Some people are trying to spread nasty rumors about Trek Lights, but they don't realize the amount of time and work that has gone into launching this company. We may be small, we may have grown too large too quickly, but we will not rest until you all have your merchandise and are satisfied. So, just because it looks the same, doesn't mean it is the same.

I hope you understand about us not answering emails of the above nature, but we're more concerned with getting everything out the door and into your hands.

It appears by the amount of people getting lathered up over on Mud and Tacomaworld......Troy is seriously pissing people off by NOT responding to text, emails, PM's or telephone calls.

He has missed two ship dates of his own accord, and has promised product with shipping numbers that are not traceable. I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but nothing says screw you like not returning messages. I can understand you're busy at a day job, and working at "getting orders out"....but at some point the rent comes due..

So Troy, you can pass on any more bullsh it excuses, I for one would like to see pictures of product (in this country), boxes being prepped to be sent out, and something actually happening that would indicate good faith that deal is going through and happening.
