I figured I would post these to help Troy out a little bit. These aren't my pics but these are the same lights I ordered from him.

I ordered 2 4" XT lights in the flood pattern:

I also ordered one 18" XT in the spot pattern"

I bombarded Troy with PM's for almost 3 weeks and he was always quick to reply with good answers to my questions. Never once did he show any lack of good customer service while dealing with my dozens of questions. He was always spot on with his answers which gave me more things to research on and ask him even more questions about his lights.

Bottom line, if I had extra money I would order more lights from him. Eventually I'll need some rock lights to mount near my frame and rock sliders... hint hint... [MENTION=90521]treklights[/MENTION] hint hint...

Hello, I'm looking for some advice on my light purchase. I was thinking two 4.5 inch Xt series lights and a 9 inch Xt series as well.

My question is which would you recommend for the flood and which for the spot. I was thinking the 9 inch for the spot and the 4.5s for the floods. Any input would be great and thanks for the group buy opportunity.

You definitely want the 9" TrekLight XT in spot pattern and the 4" XT's in flood. No questions about that one.

You want a powerful spot. Plus, the ability to angle the 4" floods outward, inward, straight out to the sides, and tilt them up or down, gives you a very versatile setup.

For the OctaPlus, is the front face of the lens a flat surface? Kind of a weird question but I've been looking at different options for a dedicated fog light in my outdoorlogic front bumper for a while. It has 4" round openings and these lights would work great but I want to know if I could buy some yellow lamin-X vinyl and apply it to the surface of these lights. This would give me the dedicated fog light performance that I'm looking for. Hope that makes sense... I just don't know how well the vinyl would stick if the lenses have a ton of bumps or ridges on them.

Yep, the lenses are flat on the OctaPlus lights.
