Trimming for 285s

At the moment my new to me 4runner is sitting on Daystar 2.5/1.5 spacers with FJ springs all around with 1.5" wheel spacers and 265/70R17 MTZ rubber. I am about to order some 285/70R17 Toyo Open Country IIs for her. I already removed the front mud flaps and trimmed the front wheel wells. The question I have is how much of the front bumper needs to be cut? I want to do it before they arrive so it will be ready to go. Thanks!

You might need to dremel the body mount perches. It's almost impossible to know exactly where you'll need to trim until they're on. The inner fender wells were the biggest and it sounds like you've got those covered. I only needed to trim the body mount perch on one side.

I barely had to trim the bumper, maybe 1/2" off.

I am about to do the same thing you are as a matter of fact. But the only thing different is i am getting a front bumper. I have heard that you will have to chop the body mount. Then i heard from people with less lift than i do that did not have to do that. Like above your just gonna have to get them on and see. Although i can expect that on the back park of the fender flare on the inside corner i have seen people basically knick it off, now i have seen some major front bumper trimming, send Krupnation a pm and ask him to send you pictures of the trimming he had to do. he help me out.
Good luck man
