Sup!

Finally joined after months of lurking and salivating over all the bada@$ builds.

This is my second T4R, 1st was a 4th gen 2WD. LOVED IT....until the transmission gave out.
I sold (gave) it... then fooled around with a pick-up that also gave me lots of issues.
I got tired of fixing stuff and had started missing my 4runner so much that i started looking around :keyboard: and basically lucked up on a dealer that was willing to give a decent deal for my truck.

While I really wanted another 4th Gen, I couldn't pass up the deal i came across.

So, here she is, my new to me 5TH gen :bravo:

2014 SR5 4X4 with 89k
Came with a nice set of KO2's (275/70) and roof rack (brand???)

Took her straight to my local dealer (I have a plug) and got a good bill of health. Minus the warped rotors. but mechanically and electronically...perfect.

I've been through lots of cars and have never been pulled to any make or model as I have with the 4Runner, looking to make lots of memories and adding lot of miles to her.

That said, I want a reliable and low maintenance rig. Hence the name...Form Follows Function. While I do love the awesome overland builds that are out there, I simply would rather stretch my budget (as most would agree) for great trips over the next greatest mod. No offense/hate/envy to anyone that does. You got and I'll drool over it

And so begins my build/adventure/askingquestionsthathavealreadybeenanswered thread? :lmao:

Lift is ordered!

Went with Eibach’s pro truck lift. And throwing a 3/4” spacer in the rear to combat reverse rake with cargo/trailer.

Lift's on

Eibach Stage ONE w/ Cornfed .75" spacers in the rear.

Love the way it came out.

Fronts are set at the bottom ring, rears are set to the second from the bottom.
*According to the manual +2.75" and +0.8" in the rear with the settings i went with*

I decided for spacers in the rear to give me some rake. I will be towing occasionally and I plan on making a drawer system in the rear cargo area.

Had i raised to the 3rd notch on the rears I would have had more rake than I have now *looks bad IMO, and it would have caused the ride to be stiffer as the top two notches are for added weight not necessarily more lift.

Very happy with it so far. Can't wait to flex it out :thumb3:

New addition to the runner.

Super stoked, snagged an awesome deal on this RTT and can’t wait to use it.

Looks good! I’ve had a smitty RTT for 5 years now - lots of people hate on them but for the price.. what’s really that much different? I Velcroed two self inflating camping pads under the mattress and it made a world of difference. The foam they use was way too soft for me. How did you mount yours to the stock roof rack? It took me almost two hours getting to the nuts under the tent.

Thanks! I’m sure some folks have their reason but I love it. It didn’t break the bank and it suits my needs perfectly for my weekend warrior plans.

I have aftermarket cross bars so I just used the hardware it came with to attach. Though I don’t plan on leaving it on full time.

Truck looks great. You opted for no UCA's?

Thanks, I did because it was a huge expense compared to the little gain I would have got. IMHO. (My shop got the alignment perfect)

But if it ever comes to lifting higher I would have no choice but to grab some.

I have some catching up to do.

Got some new wheels! Went with RRW RH-6 in -12 offset. Super happy with the color.

Then I scored this awesome deal on a full length Prinsu rack!

I’m on the look out for some UCAs and lighting at this point. [emoji1362]
