Ideally im more of a haul a$$ kinda guy over a wheeling kind of guy. That being said what kind of suspension setup would I be looking at? I'd like to get rid of my bumper also and put a metal one in. I can never find anything website wise for a 1999 4Runner it all seems to be custom stuff id have to customize. (But that's not what I'm looking for) main question is suspension. Could I use regular OME suspension?

I'm guessing by Trophy you mean like a Baja racer?

If that's the case, it's going to be mostly ALL custom.

You can get the front long travel suspension for a Tacoma; that'll bolt right up.

As for the rear, unless you design some kind of extendable pandard bar, or just ditch the pan hard and run a custom link suspension in the back, that's about all you'll be able to do.

There are no kits for our 4Runners because of the rear suspension. That and the weight has A LOT to do with it.

It can be done, anything CAN be, just depends on how much money you want to throw into it and how much time.

Check out sponsors link at top of page for bumpers and other stuff. If you want to go fast off road, long travel is probably the best way to go.

Something like this maybe? mother of god - Tacoma World Forums

Long suspension. Yes I'll look into it. All Tacoma's front suspension is long suspension or certain years (which years) that mother of god is ideal, doubt I'd get that far! I do want that rear tire holder. And I'll check out the links

Not a go fast pic, but it can handle itself alright in the fast stuff. I've got a camburg LT on the front and a home built mid travel rear suspension. The rear still needs a lot of work but its getting there, just can't quite keep up with the front suspension yet. Hoping to go full spring under this summer or fall.

You can check out my build or how I've built mine. I pretty much use all 1st gen tundra or tacoma parts or custom build it myself.

Hey, I will give it to dirty dangler all damn day!
4Runners can fly! And you don't need some insane suspension to do it. But it depends where your taking this thing.
Like Broker said, long travels will most likely be required, and the rear is free game/hard as hell. Good luck on your design process. Make it worthy of the Monsters section :D
