Troubleshooting w/Multimeter

Hey guys, I’m new to the car scene in general and I’ve been having electrical problems with my 95 Runner, but I can’t for the life of me find a good video on YouTube explaining how to troubleshoot wiring with a multimeter and/or find a short. If anyone has a lot of experience with this and could explain the process to me that would be awesome. I keep getting caught up on Ohms VS Amps VS Volts and what the number readings mean/what they should be for a working circuit etc. Anyways, thanks in advance for any help y’all can throw my direction

Just a quick suggestion, forget that the meter has an Amps setting for now and don't use it. That will keep you from frying your meter. Also do not use Ohms on any live circuit. See previous sentences. For a beginner Volts ranges are your friend. Do learn Ohm's law and check back later, troubleshooting electrical problems is not something that can be picked up in a couple of internet posts.
