Truck acting weird

So recently I've noticed that my truck hesitates when I hit the gas... it's kinda weird, this happens when I roll up at a stop sign

So I'll do a full stop, and when I hit the gas, it moves but then you notice a loss of power then it kicks back. It all happens in less then a second.

I checked all the lines and looked for leaks and can't find anything, I don't have any codes or anything. The only mod I have is the deck plate mod and a air raid system that's it


Would anyone know what's wrong or what is going on?

If your air raid filter is oiled I would start by cleaning the MAF sensor. If cleaning the MAF doesn't help it's probably the throttle body/IAC that needs cleaning.

I'm convinced it's something electrical with the Trac or VSC systems. Leaning more towards the trac since the slip light comes on some times when it happens. There are times when it happens without the dash indicator as well though.

If the hesitation is still there after cleaning the maf & throttle body, check the spark plugs and wires next especially if they haven’t been replaced in a while.
 
Don't want to hijack the thread here, but want to elaborate on my experience...

I cleaned the TB & MAF as well as changed the plugs & wires as the first steps of troubleshooting per most suggestions. Issue still persists.

Still probably the best initial steps to take since it’s easier and cheaper than looking into the fuel injectors, throttle position sensors, etc. Any obdii codes?

Guys, I have had this issue in the past and have done all the things mentioned here. After much trial and error, I discovered a silent little issue that once addressed, fixes the issue. IT IS PROBABLY YOUR 02 SENSORS!

I know it sounds crazy (As I had no idea the 02 sensors could make the truck run like sh!t) but trust me, I have been down this road and once I changed out both 02 sensors, the truck was back to running like a Rolex.

I have a non-California emissions T4R LTD 4WD. The front and rear sensors are the same (again, trust me, I learned this the hard way). I always buy mine from Amazon. For the non-Cali emissions, the Denso part number is 234-4162.

Haven't heard any more details from the OP, but in regards to my experience with the similar symptoms...I don't understand why the O2 sensors would have anything to do with the trac slip indicator activating and cutting the throttle out. Guess it couldn't hurt spending the $100 to replace them though since I don't know if or when they were ever replaced.

You could try pulling the VSC relay to disable all the traction aids to see if the issue persists and help narrow down the source of the problem.
