Truck lowers after i get out

After I shut off the car I noticed it has lowered a couple of times... I tried to reproduce this but it doesn't always work... its very odd... I tried searching here and reading the manual but I can't seem to find anything on it?

Am I smoking crack?

I do believe I read in a few posts that the limited comes with air shocks, so I would say it's possible. But usually if the car rises after you get out, it's a sign to cut back on those donuts.

I don't know if this is related, but when I get in my 2003 Sport Edition, there is a pump noise that sometimes goes on and off for the first 1-2 minutes after the SUV is turned on. Are there any active components in the suspension that would do this?

Your truck is probably equipped with rear height adjustable air, forget the exact wording but it levels the truck, you probably came from an area where the truck was at 1 level then you park it in your driveway or garage and it levels:

Really works great for heavy loads or towing trailers, keep the rear up, you should have a button in the center console that is by the seat warmer switch and a light on the dash that shows your in normal mode:

You wanna see it work put your kids or something heavy in the back and then unload it, if you shut it off then unload the truck will sit much higher till you start it up: did that once in the garage and did not realize the rrof was like almost touching the garage door motor

yes i do have that air suspension and height control feature, but what i don't understand is why sometimes it will readjust and sometimes it won't... ??

Mine does this as well. It does kinda make you nervous when you hear the sound when you get out

The rear air suspension is auto leveling and will adjust when you get out every now and then.

A sure way to watch your runner drop it's rear end while you are already out of the car is to carry a full load of passengers in the back seat. First time that happened with my truck all the folks who had just piled out of the backseat were saying "What the hell is your truck doing!", my answer something along of lines of "It's wishing you laid off the pizza every now and then..."

I also had some relatives in the back one time, and the same thing happened. I was thinking of saying pretty much the same thing, but if I said that to my grand mother...... :runaway:
